Feeding Birds

Marsh tit, eating sunflower seeds

Marsh tit eating sunflower seeds

Feeding birds always great fun. In summer no one should feed them, or they wouldn’t eat the flies or the other pests. But in winter when there’s snow on the ground they have a hard time finding them, and getting them out of frozen trees.
If you wait patiently and not move suddently, some birds may even come and eat sunflower seeds out of your hand.

Mostly tits like blue tits and great tits visit our feeding station. But also eurasian bullfinches, common chaffinches and others are to be seen.
