Origami Easter Egg Basket

Perfect for Easter egg-hunting, or as a decorative centre-piece. You will need two squares of Origami paper, best in different colors. One color will be used for the basket, the other will create the decorative elements.

Origami Butterflies

These can be made in multiple different sizes and colors, to create a beautiful effect.

Origami Easter Bunny

Very cute, and perfect to go with the first idea, the Origami basket, to create an Origami Easter landscape.

DIY Origami Bookmark

DIY Frühlingsdeko: Papertulpen Windspiel

Diese süßen Papiertulpen sind schnell gebastelt und eignen sich perfekt als hübsche Frühlingsdeko, Osterdeko, oder als Muttertagsgeschenk.

Ihr braucht:

Tonpapier (Grün und eine Farbe für die Blüte)
Tacker
Druckvorlage (HIER kostenlos herunterladen)
Klebstoff, Schere, Nadel und Faden

Mithilfe der Druckvorlage jeweils zwei Blätter und zwei Blüten ausschneiden.
Jedes Stück einmal längs in der Mitte Falten, so daß ein Knick entsteht.
Wieder auffalten, und je ein Blatt und eine Blüte leicht überlappend aneinander kleben.
Beide Tulpen direkt aufeinanderlegen und auf dem Knick in der Mitte 5-6 Mal zusammen tackern. Wer eine Nähmaschiene hat, kann auch auf dem Knick entlangnähen!
Die Tuple einmal in die Andere Richtung auffalten, damit sie dreidimensional wird, dann oben einen Faden zum Aufhängen anbringen, und fertig.

Making a DIY 2021 Planner/Bulletjournal from Scratch

Now that the new year is still young, we have to think about getting 2021 organized. Making your own planner is very easy and a lot of fun, as you get to design every detail just the way you want it.

A lot of people decorate their planners elaborately, put in habit trackers, goals etc. It’s up to you, how much detail you add. I went with quite a simple design, compared to what other “bullet-journalists” make, but it’s good base for more complicated set-up options.

The first step is to decide on the paper and size. You can either use a plain-page notebook, or design the pages one-by one on white sheets of paper and ring-bind it. I decided on the latter, so I started by making myself a template that I copied until I had a page for each month. I also created a 2021 year overview, to go on the first page.

After that, it’s just a matter of decorating. You can incorporate different scrapbooking techniques, use sentiment stamps etc. I used calligraphy to write the name of each month, and decorated the pages with little drawings doodles, and yes, I also used stamps on some of them.

You can also stick some sticky-notes and to do lists to the inside of the front cover, so you always have them handy.

A little overview of the things you will need:

a plain-paper notebook or paper
different pens & pencils
craft knife & scissors
glue
plenty of ideas

Bald ist Sankt Martin…

Jetzt ist es bald wieder soweit: in ein paar Wochen ist Sankt Martin, und wir müssen uns Gedanken um unsere Laterne machen. Es gibt mehrere Möglichkeiten, aber die, die ich Euch zeigen will, ist besonders einfach.

Ihr braucht nur:

Ein Blatt Papier
Schere
Geodreieck
Klebstoff
Teelicht
Wachsmalkreiden
Bügeleisen
evtl. etwas Speiseöl.

Malt Euer Papier mit Wachsblöcken beliebig an. Nun wird die bemalte Seite gebügelt, damit das Wachs sich besser verbindet. ACHTUNG: Legt unbedingt ein zweites Papier darüber, damit Euer Bügeleisen nicht verschmiert! Legt jetzt das Blatt waagerecht vor Euch, bemalte Seite nach unten.. Mit dem Lineal zeichnet Ihr eine Linie 2 cm vom oberen Rand entfernt, und eine zweite, 4 cm vom unteren Rand entfernt. Zieht alle 7 cm eine senkrechte Linie vom oberen bis zum unteren Rand des Blattes: Ihr solltet vier Linien bekommen. Der kleine Rand, der an der einen Seite übrigbleiben wird, dient uns später als Lasche, wenn wir die Laterne zusammenbauen. Verbindet von oben nach unten diagonal jeweils die Stellen miteinander, an denen sich eine Waagerechte und Senkrechte Linie kreuzen (siehe Zeichnung). Vom Rand bis zur waagerechten Linie wird nun das Blatt eingeschnitten und die Laterne zusammengeklebt.

How to Fold an Origami Lily

The Origami Lily is one of my favourite Origami flowers, as it’s very easy to make, not at all time consuming, and looks pretty. All you need is a sheet of Origami paper (or any sheet of paper for that matter, as long as it’s square). It doesn’t matter if you’re using one-sided of two-sided paper, as only one side will be visible from the outside.
